She has a degree in Biochemistry (2007) and a PhD in microbiology (2014) from the UPV / EHU, where she has been a professor and researcher in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology since 2014. She has been a member of the IKD guneak Commission of the Álava Vice-Rector's Office in 2010 and she was member of the Mushroom and Bacteria Biomics research group of the UPV / EHU recognized as a consolidated group of type A of the Basque Government. She has completed 6 research refinements at the National Microbiology Center.

She has directed or co-directed 7 final degree projects as well as a master's degree project in Microbiology and Health in which she also teaches. She has been tutor of supervised practices and external or voluntary internships of 12 students of different grades.

Currently, she is part of the Microbiolmol research group of the UPV / EHU in the Pharmacy Faculty and participates in the three lines of research that comprise it, (i) Food molecular microbiology, (ii) clinical and (iii) environmental.

She is co-author of 5 scientific articles and 18 contributions to national and international conferences. In 2010, together with her research group, she received the 1st INIZIA Arabacampus prize for young university entrepreneurs and they have achieved 14 research projects in highly competitive national and international announcement. She has also collaborated in the organization of congresses and summer courses.
