Graduated in Biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2013 and obtained her PhD in Microbiology in 2021 from the UPV/EHU. Since February 2021 she is teacher in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the UPV/EHU, in the Faculty of Pharmacy.



Member of the group called "Candidiasis y otras infecciones humanas asociadas a biopelículas microbianas " catalogued as a Consolidated Research Group of the Basque University System (IT990-16). Together with the research group, she has published three articles as first author in journals in the field of microbiology and pharmacology belonging to the first quartile, a divulgation article and has participated in a chapter of the book "Actualizaciones en biomedicina" (ISBN: 978-84-1319-234-5). All these publications have focused on the study of pathogenic fungi, with a special interest in Candida and human candidiasis. Her research has focused on the study of the role of Candida as an infectious agent through the analysis of pathogenesis and its treatment, both in vitro and in vivo in the invertebrate animal models Galleria mellonella and Caenorhabditis elegans. She has also participated in 2 research projects funded by the Basque Government and the University of the Basque Country. In addition, she has participated in a total of 11 communications at both national and international conferences.
