PhD in Geography and Associate Professor of Geography and Regional Studies in the Department of Geography, Prehistory and Archaeology of the Faculty of Arts at the UPV/EHU, with teaching posts in the Degrees of Environmental Sciences and Geography and Land Management.



Experience and applied research:

Work in the field of Territorial Planning: Partial Territorial Plans of the Functional Areas of Gernika-Markina and Durango; Soraluze Natural Environment Planning Plan; Project for the interconnection, promotion and conservation of the native tree vegetation in the municipality of Soraluze; Impact studies of the proposals for the fields of action of the Partial Territorial Plan of the Functional Area of Durango and Gernika-Markina;

Work in the field of Geographical Information Systems: Study and preparation of a proposal for the implementation of a Territorial Information System for Bizkaia.



Research:

Participation in research projects and publications in the field of Sustainable Urban Mobility in the municipality of Vitoria-Gasteiz; Sustainable Environmental Management in the Basque Country (ETORTEK); Environmental Impacts of Diffuse Urbanisation in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve; Historical Evaluation and current situation of the Seles in Bizkaia; Historical Cartography.
