It gives students knowledge of specific methods and techniques to be carried out in neurological processes, the respiratory system, cardiocirculatory system and musculoskeletal alterations.

This subject is taught by the Department that has the Physiotherapy Area attached to it.

Specific intervention methods in Physiotherapy

Understand and perform specific methods and techniques related to the musculoskeletal system (including manual therapies, therapies

joint manipulations, osteopathy and chiropractic), to the neurological processes, to the respiratory system, to the cardiocirculatory system and to

alterations of statics and dynamics. Specific methods and techniques that take into account the implications of orthopedics in the

physiotherapy, reflex therapeutic techniques, as well as other alternative and/or complementary methods and techniques whose safety and effectiveness

is demonstrated according to the state of development of science.

PRACTICAL AGENDA



-Assessment of respiratory function.

-Techniques for eliminating secretions, respiratory re-education and flexibility of the rib cage.

-Respiratory muscle training, manual lymphatic massage techniques and exercises.

-Bandage techniques.

-Clinical cases. Respiratory and Cardiovascular physiotherapy.

-Techniques for musculoskeletal pathology.

This subject will be taught in master classes, seminars, and laboratory practices.

In the modality of master classes, theoretical knowledge of each block will be taught.

In the seminar modality, clinical cases will be taught for students to solve in groups.

In the laboratory practice modality, the techniques of the methods previously explained in the master classes will be practiced.

* Carrying out practical exercises, applied to cases or problems related to the subject taught (15%)



- Continuous evaluation (10%): carrying out practices, participation, attitude,...





Final evaluation: To pass the subject it is necessary to pass the written test and the practical and/or oral exam.
