Albert Galvany (Barcelona, 1973) earned his BA in Philosophy from the University of the Basque Country; an MA in East Asian Studies from the Université Paris 7; and his PhD from the University of Granada (Spain). He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the École Pratique des Hautes Études (Paris), the Internationales Kolleg für Geisteswissenchaftliche Forschung (Friedrich-Alexander Universität), the University of Cambridge, and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelone). Albert has alwo been a senior research fellow at the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilisations of the Université Paris 7 and a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (Berlin). Since 2016 he works as an assistant professor at the Department of Philosophy of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. His research is focused on classical Chinese philosophy and the intellectual history of early China, and he is the author of several articles published in some of the leading international peer-reviewed journals of the field such as Early China, Bulletin of the School of Oriental and African Studies, Philosophy East and West, Monumenta Serica, Asiatische Studien, or Dao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy.
