Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation
In this subject we will study different concepts that are necessary to manage a pharmacy office. The students will study the pharmacy office as a company; therefore, they will work on different concepts related to marketing techniques and accounting to get maximum profitability. On the other hand, the subject will deal with the management of pharmacy services in hospitals as well as the organization of pharmaceutical warehouses and the pharmaceutical industry.
Although a pharmacy office is a private business, it cannot be forgotten that it has a strong public interest. Therefore, students need to know and understand the rules and the laws that must be complied with. In addition, it is necessary to understand how the health system is organized, as well as how to practice as a teacher, researcher or specialist pharmacist.

1. To know, understand and apply the legal, social and economic conditions related to healthcare, and in particular to drugs.
2. To know the ethical and deontological principles and to act according to laws, regulations and professional practice, collaborating with other health professionals and acquiring teamwork skills.
3. To manage different information retrieval techniques related to primary and secondary sources of information (including databases with the use of computers).
4. To know and apply different management techniques in all aspects of pharmaceutical activities.
5. Basic knowledge of the National Health System, health legislation in general, and specifically, matters related to medicines, medical devices and pharmaceutical assistance.
6. To know and understand the management and characteristics of pharmaceutical assistance in both primary and specialized care in the National Health System.
7. To know and understand the management and characteristics of pharmaceutical assistance in the pharmacy office and in the pharmaceutical industry.

1. To identify and differentiate the different types of organization of the companies in which the pharmacist can exercise his/her profession.
2. To carry out analyses of the drug market and analyze the data.
3. To know and apply different management techniques to all aspects of pharmaceutical activities, including pharmaceutical care in the office, in the industry and in primary and specialized care structures.
4. To use databases related to consumption of medicines and software designed to manage a pharmacy office.

MethodologyToggle Navigation
Las clases expositivas o magistrales de algunos de los temas del programa teórico se llevarán a cabo de una manera ágil y dinámica, donde será necesaria una alta participación por parte del alumnado.
Además, se utilizarán metodologías activas y se realizarán trabajos cooperativos a lo largo del curso que requerirán la presencialidad de los estudiantes.
En las Prácticas de aula así como en las Prácticas de Ordenador se plantearán y resolverán casos prácticos y problemas para poder aplicar los conceptos más teóricos.

The evaluation criteria will be as follows:
- Degree of adequacy of responses
- Clear mastery of concepts, well-structured and coherent
- Absence of serious errors
- Selection of the appropriate response
- Ability to solve new cases and exercises
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team as well as a participatory attitude
- Demonstrate a reflexive attitude towards the activities undertaken.
El sistema de evaluación final de la asignatura es mixto y se compone de un 55% de la prueba escrita objetiva (necesario obtener un 50% de esta nota para aprobar la asignatura), un 40% de evaluación continua (entregables tanto individuales como grupales a lo largo del curso) y un 5% que corresponde a la evaluación de la competencia transversal de trabajo en equipo.
La asistencia y colaboración activa en las prácticas de ordenador será necesaria para aprobar la asignatura. En caso de que no se asista o no se colabore activamente en las prácticas, para superar la asignatura se deberá superar una prueba/examen sobre los contenidos del programa práctico.
Según dicta la Normativa de Evaluación del Alumnado, el alumnado tendrá derecho a ser evaluado mediante el sistema de evaluación final, independientemente de que haya participado o no en el sistema de evaluación continua. Para ello, el alumnado deberá presentar por escrito al profesorado responsable de la asignatura la renuncia a la evaluación continua,
para lo que dispondrán de un plazo de 9 semanas para las asignaturas cuatrimestrales, a contar desde el comienzo del cuatrimestre, de acuerdo con el calendario académico del centro.
Renuncia a la convocatoria
1.- La renuncia a la convocatoria supondrá la calificación de no presentado o no presentada.
2.- En el caso de evaluación continua, el alumnado podrá renunciar a la convocatoria en un plazo que, como mínimo,será hasta un mes antes de la fecha de finalización del período docente de la asignatura correspondiente. Esta renuncia deberá presentarse por escrito ante el profesorado responsable de la asignatura.
3.- Cuando se trate de evaluación final, la no presentación a la prueba fijada en la fecha oficial de exámenes supondrá la renuncia automática a la convocatoria correspondiente.
Extraordinary Call: Orientations and DisclaimerToggle Navigation
1.- Las estudiantes y los estudiantes que no superasen la asignatura en la convocatoria ordinaria, con independencia del sistema de evaluación que en ella se hubiera elegido, tendrán derecho a presentarse a los exámenes y actividades de evaluación que configuren la prueba de evaluación final de la convocatoria extraordinaria.
2.- La evaluación de las asignaturas en las convocatorias extraordinarias se realizará exclusivamente a través del sistema de evaluación final.
3.- La prueba de evaluación final de la convocatoria extraordinaria constará de cuantos exámenes y actividades de evaluación sean necesarias para poder evaluar y medir los resultados de aprendizaje definidos, de forma equiparable a como fueron evaluados en la convocatoria ordinaria. Podrán conservarse los resultados positivos obtenidos por el alumnado durante el curso. En el caso de haber obtenido resultados negativos mediante la evaluación continua llevada a cabo durante el curso, dichos resultados no podrán mantenerse para la convocatoria extraordinaria, en la que el alumnado podrá obtener el 100% de la calificación.
