MsC in Solid State Physics at the UPV/EHU (1998), PhD in Science at the University of Navarre (2003), she has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Universities of Mondragon and Navarre. She joined the UPV/EHU in 2004, and currently and since 2014 she has a position as an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Physics. Her workplace is the Faculty of Engineering of Gipuzkoa, at its site of Donostia/ San Sebastián. Her teaching is mainly focused on Applied Physics for the Degree of Building Engineering and on subjects of Architectural Acoustics at Bachelor and Master studies.

She has worked for 13 months in different stays at the Institut für Organische Chemie II und Neue Materialien of the University of Ulm (Germany), doing research into organic solar cell devices by means of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).

She belongs to the BIOMAT – biopolymeric materials group, led by Dr. Koro de la Caba. She carries out her research on the development of biopolymeric materials from renewable origin for packaging and biomedical applications.

As far as her managing activities are concerned, since the 2017/2018 scholar year she has been coordinator of the Grade of Technical Architecture.
