Gustavo Adolfo Esteban Alcalá is an Industrial Engineer from the UPV/EHU (1997), PhD in Industrial Engineering (2002) and Associate Professor in the area of Fluid Mechanics in the Department of Energy Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao. He has extensive experience in research tasks associated with the experimental study of energy technologies such as offshore renewable energy tests using wave flumes or the study of the interaction of gases with nuclear fusion technology materials, together with the simulation of energy production, conversion and transport processes using Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD). The main results of his research have resulted in the publication of various articles (24) in international journals (JCR) and presentations at different international conferences (35) in the scientific field. He has participated in numerous research projects in competitive calls (25) and contracts with companies and/or administrations (18). He has 3 six-year research periods. Index h-9.
