Doctor in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), she received the extraordinary doctorate award from that university in 2018. In addition, she attended the Master's Degree in Teacher Training (UPV/EHU, 2011). Since 2010, she has been teaching Art and Visual Culture at the Faculty of Education and Sports (UPV/EHU) and at the Master's Degree in Research and Creation in Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV/EHU. She holds the Teaching Evaluation Certificate (Dozentiaz Program of the UPV/EHU) with an Excellence qualification (score of 100 out of 100).
He has made short stays at the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia; at the Katholike Pabo Zwolle, University of Applied Science Teacher Training Institute, Zwolle, Holland; at the Instituto Superior de Educación y Ciencias Universitas. Lisbon, and at the Carlo Bo University of Studies in Urbino, Italy.
Researcher in the field of Visual Culture, the lines of research focus on the processes and methodologies of teaching-learning in this area, both in Early Childhood Education and in Basic and Higher Education. She has also worked on the importance of the development of creativity and aesthetics as a basis for teaching-learning in this field and on the influence of the image on the construction of identity, mainly gender.
