Mechanical Engineer (2004) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2011) with a phd thesis on the structural behaviour of parallel kinematics manipulators at the Bilbao Faculty of Engineering (UPV / EHU). Because of this work, his main competences are related to the study of the stiffness and vibrations of mechanical systems.
For 4 years (2004-2008), he combined tasks as an engineer and research for his doctoral thesis with a Regional scholarship. In 2008, he obtained an associate professor position and, later, he was hired by the COMPMECH Research Group. In 2009, he obtained a position as temporary professor and, since 2015, he holds an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
He has taught in several subjects in the Mechanical Engineering area. Currently, he teaches Design of Machines subject of which he is Coordinator. Another outstanding aspect of his teaching is the co-direction of the Formula Student Bizkaia project, where he coordinates more than 50 students/year. This project is a multidisciplinary teaching activity based on active methodologies in accordance with the Educational Model of the University of the Basque Country.
He is a member of the CompMech Research Group, level A of the Basque University system. He is co-author of a dozen publications in international journals and books. He has participated in more than 30 international conferences and is a co-author of a patent. He has collaborated in more than twenty research projects.
