He obtained his degree in the year 2000 at the UPV/EHU and then went on to obtain his PhD at the Manchester Metropolitan University. After some postdoctoral positions: Queen’s University Belfast (2005-2007), Genetadi S.L. (2008), CIC-Nanogune and Université Champagne-Ardenne (2009); he obtained a position as assistant-lecturer in the department of Applied Chemistry at the UPV/EHU in the year 2009 and in the year 2017 he obtained a permanent lecturer position.
His main research interest concern the development of new rhodium and iridium organometallic catalysts and their immobilisation in metal-organic frameworks. He is the co-author of 26 scientific papers and the co-director of a PhD.
