Degree (1990) and PhD in Chemistry (1995) obtained in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). For its outstanding relevance, the University granted this thesis an “Extraordinary Doctorate Award”.

Pre-doctoral grant provided by the Basque Government (1991-1995). Since 1995 under contract with the University of the Basque Country as full-time professor or researcher. Associate professor in 1995 and between 1998 and 2002, and researcher under contract between 1996 and 1997.

Since 2000 accredited for bilingual teaching (Spanish and Basque). Since that year professor at the Faculty of Engineering Vitoria-Gasteiz. Accredited as University School Professor in 2002 and University Professor in 2018.

As a researcher, collaboration in twelve research projects with external funding. Since 2013, part of the consolidated research group “Procesos Catalíticos y Valorización de Residuos (PROCAT-VARES)”, from the University of the Basque Country, recognized by the Basque Government as a consolidated research group. As a result, the researcher has published 16 articles in JCR journals,11 of them included in the first quartile (Q1), and contributed with 21 papers in congresses, 11 of them in international congresses. One period of six years on research activity (sexenio) granted by the National Evaluation Comission on Research Activities (Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora, CNAI) (1996/2001).
