The BMCC can maintain private strains of microalgae and cyanobacteria as off-site back-up cultures. Strains are kept alive in liquid culture medium. Private strains are not showed on our public database and are completely confidential, being made available only to the depositor (or to any third party authorized in writing by the depositor).
