Javier Gardeazabal
Professor Gardeazabal obtained his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and his BA in Economics from the University of the Basque Country. He has been affiliated with the University of the Basque Country since 1991 and was Visiting Professor at the University of California Santa Cruz in 2012. His research fields include international finance, labor economics, gender economics, economics of conflict and econometrics. His publications include top-rated journals and has been member of the editorial board of the Spanish Economic Review, Investigaciones Económicas, Revista de Economía Aplicada, Moneda y Crédito and Defence and Peace Economics. Professor Gardeazabal served as a board member of the Spanish Economic Association, of which he is now a fellow.
