Phd in History at UPV/EHU, where he defended the thesis entitled "The participation of women in the labor market of Vitoria-Gasteiz 1950-1975", directed by Dr. Pilar Pérez-Fuentes Hernández and which won Micaela Portilla Award for the best thesis on feminist or gender studies at the UPV/EHU (2013).

His main lines of research base on social history, and the history of women and gender with a predilection for the Francoist period, where he has several publications, including The History of women workers of Heraclio Fournier Playing Card Company; Without rest. Domestic service during the Franco regime; The Iron Ladies. The participation of women in the labor market of Vitoria-Gasteiz (1950-1975); The housewives. Construction of a subject of rights during the Franco regime; The work of women throughout history, etc. As a result of this investigative work, he has recently directed several exhibitions, including "Arabako Emakumeak Lanean" (photographic) on the work of women in the contemporary world and "Naiperas. A living memory" about the workers of the Heraclio Fournier factory.

Likewise, he also has extensive research experience in the field of Didactics of Social Sciences, where the analysis of the teaching-learning of democratic citizenship from the perspective of Global Education occupies a prominent place.

Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Didactics of Social Sciences at the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV / EHU).
