CAREER

Researcher at the Ituna Center for Basque Economic Agreement and Fiscal Federalism Agreement at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Associate Researcher at Complutense Institute for International Studies (ICEI-UCM) and University Professor at the Public Law Department (Tax Law) at UPV/EHU.

Currently working on his PhD thesis in Economics: 'Breaking down the efficiency-equity trade off on equalization schemes. A multidisciplinary approach' at Complutense University Madrid, under the supervision of Prof. Jorge Onrubia (UCM), Prof. Lopez-Laborda Unizar) and Prof. Dahlby (Calgary U.). Instituto Complutense de Estudios Internacionales (ICEI-UCM).

In the past he studied Economics and Law (URJC), Economic Policy Master (Utrecht U.) and European Political Economy and Finance Posgradueate (LSE). He has worked as Research Assistant at an ERC and an Horizon2020 project respectively at Utrecht University, at Banco de España and at Triodos Investment Management NL. He also carried out a research stay at the Department of Economics at KU Leuven. His research is focused on fiscal federalism, public finance and welfare state policies. Hi usually collaborates with Fundación Alternativas and the academic blog 'Agenda Pública - El País'.
