LEARNING OUTCOMES



- The student recognizes and interprets the perceptual attributes of the form and masters its graphic expression.

- Relates architectural creation and graphic expression.

- He is trained in the use of Architectural Graphic Language. He knows how to read and how to write the representation of the architectural fact in two-dimensional media.

-He understands architectural graphic language as a process of observation and analysis of what we see and develops the capacity for synthesis, excluding the accessory and meaning what enriches its description.

- Understand drawing as action and as a process of architectural research.

- Understands the Scientific Model as the essence of the Ideation and Drafting process of the Architectural Fact.

-He is familiar and trained in the usual projection systems: dihedral, axonometric and conical.

- Understand and use the concept of Scale as the essence of the Scientific Model in Architecture.

-He has developed his visual capacity in the Dimension, Proportion and Gravitational Parameters (vertical and horizontal) of the architectural fact.

- Uses the Human Figure, object and subject of the architectural fact, as a model of education and understanding of the inherent parameters.

-He is trained in the Perception, Understanding and Description of the architectural fact.

-He knows and applies the basic and common techniques and tools of Architectural Graphic Expression for the representation of Form and Space.

-He is familiar with the Perception, Understanding and Graphic Description of Archetypes of Architecture

Theoretical-practical activities will take place both indoors and outdoors.

When the activity takes place outside the usual classrooms, if the students consider it appropriate, they may use a folding chair whose provision will be at their expense.





The theoretical-practical content of the subject includes the following sections:



-Learn to see and think about space, shapes and architecture.

-Perception and analysis: Quick notes on the human figure. Notes and freehand sketches of tangible architectural elements and spaces, as well as simple geometric shapes (still lifes).

-Introduction to the discipline of nesting in freehand drawing: use of the plumb line and the needle (the human figure and architectural space).

-Fundamental graphic codes of technical drawing: section and projection, depth, differentiation of construction elements, etc.

-Representation systems and their use in architectural drawing 1: dihedral (plans, sections and elevations) and axonometry.

-Analysis and identification of the fundamental elements of architecture: solid elements and empty spaces, structure (walls, supports, slabs, etc.), enclosure (facade, roof, windows, etc.), interior divisions (partitions, doors, etc. .) and communication elements (stairs).

-Concept of scale and level of detail of the drawing.

-Use of dihedral lighting and shadows to represent depth in elements and spaces with simple shapes.

-Representation systems and their use in architectural drawing 2: visual perception and drawing of conical perspectives. The escaped section.

-Representation systems and their use in architectural drawing 3: representation of land using contour lines.

MethodologyToggle Navigation

During face-to-face hours, the student will take an active part in theoretical-practical teaching:



In the theoretical sessions, the student will make his or her own contributions in the form of questions or appropriate comments that may be useful to the class as a whole.



In the practical classes she will attend to the instructions given about her work and that of the rest of the students.



In non-contact hours she will prepare the individual or team practices indicated for partial and final deliveries.



The exercises to be carried out by students both in-person and offline will consist of:



Statue and still life: analysis of form.



Analysis of unique buildings: spatial and compositional understanding through notes and views; graphic representation at different scales in plans, elevations and sections.



The type of exercise and number will depend on the model chosen and the progress of the course, being the decision of each teacher.



The type of exercises carried out in all Architectural Drawing subjects require that the weekly face-to-face teaching hours be grouped so that the theoretical-practical exercises have the necessary continuity for their proper development. Likewise, given that part of the exercises take place outside, your schedule will be in the time slot that allows you to work in daylight.

Taking into account the criteria of the Regulatory Regulations for the Evaluation of Students in Official Degrees of the UPV/EHU, the preferred evaluation system for the ordinary call will be continuous evaluation.



CONTINUOUS EVALUATION.



The evaluation system will take into account the work carried out during the course, complementing said evaluation with the completion of an exam. It will be the default option that will be applied to all students, except those who give up continuous evaluation within the first 9 weeks of the course. The grade for the continuous evaluation will be the weighted average of the grade for the course work (70%) and the exam (30%). In order to pass the continuous evaluation it is necessary to pass each of the two parts separately. Students who do not pass the continuous evaluation will have a failing grade, regardless of whether they have attended class, taken the exam or presented the work stated throughout the school period. (As established by the Regulatory Regulations for the Evaluation of Students in the Official Degree Degrees of the UPV/EHU, the weight of the final test or exam being less than 40% of the grade for the subject, the students will only obtain the qualification of not presented in case of renouncing the call).



The tutorials will not replace the master classes taught throughout the course.



FINAL EVALUATION



It will be applied exclusively to students who renounce continuous evaluation within the first 9 weeks of the course, as established in article 8 CHAPTER II Regulatory Regulations for Student Evaluation in Official Degrees of the UPV/EHU. To make the waiver of continuous evaluation effective, students must request the continuous evaluation waiver from the teaching staff, which must be filled out, signed and sent to the teaching staff within the first 9 weeks of the course.





It will consist of the delivery of a series of previously defined works and the completion of an exam. The teaching staff may require that the completion of some or all of these works be done in person. The final evaluation grade will be the weighted average of the grade for the assignments (30%) and the exam (70%). In order to pass the final evaluation, it is necessary to pass each of the two parts separately.



The tutorials will not replace the master classes taught throughout the course.



WAIVER OF THE CALL



Resignation from the call will result in the qualification as not presented or not presented. Students may withdraw from the call within a period that, at least, will be up to one month before the end date of the teaching period for the corresponding subject. To make the resignation from the call effective, students must request the resignation form from the teaching staff, which must be filled out, signed and sent to the teaching staff within a period that, at least, will be up to one month before the end date of the period. teacher of the subject.



PROTOCOL ON ACADEMIC ETHICS AND PREVENTION OF DISHONEST OR FRAUDULENT PRACTICES IN EVALUATION TESTS AND ACADEMIC WORK AT THE UPV/EHU



The guidelines for action will be applied to prevent plagiarism, copying or use of fraudulent means to pass exams or evaluation tests and prepare academic works, in accordance with the protocol on academic ethics and prevention of dishonest or fraudulent practices in evaluation tests and academic works at the UPV/EHU.

Given the great variety of exercises to be performed, the materials necessary for each exercise or group of exercises will be indicated in advance of their proposal. However, the following can be considered basic materials:

- Mechanical pencils or lead pencils 2H, HB and 2B.
- Light board DIN A2 or a little larger.
- Plumb line and needle (thin rod of approximately 30-40 cm)
- 30 cm square and bevel.
- Scalemeter.
- Compass and adapter for styluses or fine-tip markers.
- Styluses or fine-tip markers.
- 60 cm Paralex.

To deliver to the teacher:

- Student file with their data and photograph.
