Participation in the Renatur Interreg Hajdú-Bihar (Hungary)
The Hajdú-Bihar region, with the government of the Hajdú-Bihar region as a partner in the RENATUR project, led the interregional conference that was carried out online on April 27, 2021, to address the regional development program of the Hajdú-Bihar county for the years 2021-2027.
Specific challenges addressed during the workshop are the identification of:
- a) Appropriate national / regional / local policy approaches, planning instruments, practical solutions for mapping ecosystem services (ES) related to a selected area, a municipality, with special emphasis on peri-urban open spaces;
- b) methods and approaches to transfer the role and importance of ES to local decision makers (eg mayors, assembly members, etc.) and local citizens / communities.
- c) Practices, guidance on the development of the municipal green infrastructure concept to provide an easily applicable supporting document to decision makers for municipal planning.
