15th EUROPEAN ECOLOGICAL FEDERATION (EEF) CONGRESS and 18th NATIONAL SPECO MEETING
Leire Méndez, UNESCO Chair´s staff, shall take part in the 15th European Ecological Federation (EEF) Congress and the 18th National SPECO Meeting, taking place in Lisbon (Portugal) from 29 July to 2 August 2019.
Dr. Leire Méndez shall present the paper Freshwater regulating ecosystem services in Urdaibai´s biosphere reserve: An integrated approach and the results from the assessment of three (3) river ecosystem monitoring systems as key elements to ensure the environmental sustainability of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. This type of work can support the diagnosis of restauration actions from a cross functional point of view in order to create a coherent network of green and blue infrastructures of hydrological basins. It also provides a road map to ensure the compliance of Sustainable Development Goals for 20130.
