RECOGNITION OF THE MASTER OF ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINABILITY AND SDGs
The Master of Environment, Sustainability and SDGs run by the University of the Basque Country has recently been recognised by the UN as an example of good practice for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
The UN set up the Partnerships for SDGs platform to raise awareness of programmes, projects and actions at the local, regional and national level which contribute to implementing the SDGs through alliances between a diversity of stakeholders.
The master’s was submitted as a candidate for the platform and has been recognised as an example of good practice owing to its multidisciplinary teaching staff and students, and to the collaboration between the university, public institutions and business relative to supervising students’ final master’s projects and practicals.
