ECOSYSTEM SERVICES PARTNERSHIP 10 WORLD CONFERENCE
From October 21st to 25th, Hanover will host the 10th World Conference of the Ecosystem Services Partnership under the headline “10 years advancing ecosystem services science, policy and practice for a sustainable future”.
The conference structure will comprise general sessions, working sessions, sectoral and themed sessions and poster sessions. The session on Effective teaching strategies for making the ecosystem services concept relevant to society will be coordinated by the UNESCO Chair via the participation of Igone Palacios.
Said session will look at how Ecosystem Services (ES) are taught to the youngest generations in universities. Current students will be our future teachers, political leaders and scientists, and the university setting is therefore an excellent context in which to bring the concept of ES to young people, and subsequently to all of society.
