The 12th European Conference on Ecological Restoration
Researchers of the UNESCO Chair have participated in The 12th European Conference on Ecological Restoration held online on 7-10 September 2021. The oral communication: Designing an effective urban green infrastructure for the city of Bilbao (Basque Country, Northern Spain) was presented at the symposium Near-natural restoration of urban green infrastructure. The poster: The restoration of native forests improves the connectivity of the green infrastructure in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve was also presented.
The aim of the conference was to discuss the challenges facing ecological restoration in post-2020 Europe and, in particular, how ecological restoration can promote the recovery of damaged, degraded and destroyed socio-ecological systems in these critical times.
