Project Feeding the Campus

The Observatory for the Culture of the Territory (OCT) together with Transitando, the UAM, the UPM and the UAH is carrying out the project Feeding the Campus, whose objective is to promote the supply of sustainable products (proximity agroecological) in university catering.

One of the activities being carried out is a Social Innovation Laboratories to rethink nutrition in universities on Wednesday 10, 17 and 24 March from 4.30 to 6.30 pm (online format). The objective of these meetings is to create spaces for dialogue and reflection for all those involved in the nutrition of university campuses catering companies, University personnel, students and producers.Based on the results of these meetings, systemic, sustainable and scalable pilot projects will be promoted that respond to the needs of all actors and that allow the transition towards a sustainable food model on university campuses.

The UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Environmental Education has been invited to share with them our 3-year experience in the project: Evaluation of food remains in the dining rooms on the Bizkaia Campus, financed by the UPV / EHU Sustainability Division, on March 17 at 4:30 p.m.
