The National Center for Environmental Education (CENEAM) has included in its didactic resources the didactic unit on ecosystem services developed within the project “Evaluation of Ecosystem Services in Euskadi”

The Didactic Unit for Secondary “Ecosystem services. Do we know what our environment offers us?” It has been included in the didactic resource base of the National Center for Environmental Education (CENEAM) with the aim of providing an awareness and education tool on ecosystem services.

This didactic material, aimed at the 2nd cycle of Secondary Education, allows working on ecosystem services in both, inside and outside of the classroom, with the following objectives: identifying ecosystem services, analyzing and assessing their current state, understanding the relationship between ecosystem services and people’s well-being, carry out action plans aimed at improving ecosystem services, and put into practice some of the proposals made.

It consists of the following materials: Student notebook, Teacher’s guide, downloadable posters and cards.

It can also be used to work on Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable cities and communities) of the 2030 Agenda.
