Research Areas

She is a Psychologist with expertise in the field of Neuropsychology. She completed an internship of two years as a Clinical Neuropsychologist in the Trueta University Hospital and in the Mar Hospital (Master’s Degree on Behavioral Neurology and Clinical Neuropsychology). She completed a Master’s Degree on Neurosciences and worked as a Research Assistant during five months in the Institute of Sanitary Assistance (IAS), Parc Marti i Julia Hospital, with patients with intellectual disabilities as well as a therapist focused on the support therapies for relatives of patients with dementia (FADECIA Foundation, Girona). She is at present conducting a PhD on Biomedicine between the University of the Barcelona, (Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychobiology) and the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU (Group of Computational Intelligence, Dept. CCIA). Her main focus of research is the mechanisms of brain plasticity in stroke survivors with special interest on early surrogate biomarkers, brain and behavior relationships using neuroimaging techniques. She is working as a Research Assistant in the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU (Group of Computational Intelligence, Dept. CCIA) since December 2012.

Working experience
