Many steps here are in excess, they won't hurt your computer, just put more files where they don't need to be.
If you discover the really needed steps between these, I would appreciate your comments. I don't know if the correct steps are (2 and 3) or (4 and 5).
1- Download llncs.zip and llncs2e.zip from [1].
2- Extract the contents of llncs.zip in /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/llncs/
3- Extract the contents of llncs2e.zip in /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/llncs2e/
4- Extract the contents of llncs.zip in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/llncs/
5- Extract the contents of llncs2e.zip in /usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/llncs2e/
6- Execute the command: sudo texhash
7- Open Lyx and execute Edit -> Reconfigure.
8- Restart Lyx.

Windows
