REGULATIONS ON UNIVERSITY-SPECIFIC COURSES

ANNEX III

PROPOSAL FOR UNIVERSITY EXTENSION COURSES & DIPLOMAS

1.  Designation of the person responsible for the courses.

2.  Teaching guidelines must be set by the relevant committee and may include the number of teaching credits, the content and duration of courses and seminars and whether credits are compulsory or optional, theoretical or practical; a course programme must be established with the number of classroom hours in each academic year, start and end dates, locations and the assessment system envisaged.

3. The minimum required number of students must be set in the proposal in such a way as to ensure that the course is viable and self-funding. The maximum numbers will depend on the resources available to teach the course.

4.  List of teaching staff, indicating the number of hours to be taught.

5.  Material resources and personnel available at organisational unit to cover the needs arising from the new course. The proposal must obtain the relevant agreement for the use of premises.

6.  Full cost estimate including an estimate of overall revenues and expenditures.

  • The estimate for revenue must be detailed as follows:
    • Estimated revenues from enrolment fees & amounts of such fees.
    • Aids or subsidies from public and/or private organisations.
    • Other revenues envisaged.
  • The estimate for expenditure must be detailed as follows:
    • Remuneration of teaching staff from the UPV/EHU.
    • Remuneration envisaged for external lecturers and speakers.
    • Remuneration of clerical & management staff as relevant.
    • Withholdings for general expenses.
    • Other general expenses.
