She reached a degree on Geography and History (1992) and in Social and Cultural Anthropology (1997) by the UPV / EHU. She is PhD in Psychodidactics: Psychology of Education and Specific Didactics (2014) by the UPV / EHU, and she made a Master in Equality between Women and Men (2005).

She has been a professor at the University of the Basque Country since 2005. Previously, she was a professor of Social Sciences, Geography and History in Secondary Education for 10 years. She has been secretary of the Department of Didactics of the Social Sciences of the UPV / EHU (2014-2019).

She has participated in different research teams of I+D+i projects of MINECO (EDU2011-27835 and EDU2015-65716-C2-2-R), as well as in other research actions (EHU15 / 06). She is a member of the Network of Excellence in Social Sciences research, Red14, and belongs to the Research Group on Heritage and Cultural Landscapes of the UPV / EHU (GIPYPAC), following the research line of Archaeology and Heritage Education: Teaching-learning social sciences, geography and history (IT931-16). All this research work has led her to participate in different international conferences, as well as to the publication of several articles in indexed journals, highlighting especially those collected in WOS (2) and Scopus (3). Her researching lines revolve around Patrimonial Education and the teaching-learning of Social Sciences, Geography and History, both framed within the perspective of gender.
