María Olga Macías Muñoz (Bilbao, 1964) Graduate in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Deusto, she received her doctorate at the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in 1993 with her thesis “Railways and economic development in the Basque Country (1914-1936)”. He has obtained several scholarships and has also taken part in research projects institutionally linked to the Department of Contemporary History of the University of the Basque Country, the Basque Government, the Spanish Railways Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the BBVA Foundation. She is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Didactics of the Social Sciences at the Bilbao School of Education of the University of the Basque Country. His research focuses on Railway History, Daily History, Heritage Education and Citizenship Education. Mention should be made of her studies on the work of women in various fields, in particular those relating to culinary culture and the maritime field in the Basque Country.
