Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation

Deontology, Business Organization and Management. Throughout the course the student will become familiar with the professional activity of the architect and its link with the working world. The application of professional ethics, the services and functions of the Professional Associations, the different forms of business activity and the administrative and management procedures will be analyzed.

Basic aptitude to: Apply technical and constructive standards; Conserve building structures, foundation and civil work; Conserve finished work; Appraise works.



Basic knowledge of: Deontology, collegial organization, professional structure and civil liability; Administrative and management procedures and professional processing; The organization of professional offices; Methods of measurement, valuation and expertise.

MethodologyToggle Navigation

The course is structured in a theoretical and a practical part. The statement and specific content of the practical part, which will include a series of exercises to be performed in class, will be defined in the Course Program that will be delivered at the beginning of the course.

    • Written test to be taken (%): 40
    • Realization of Practical Work (exercises, cases or problems) (%): 30

JANUARY CALL:



In order to pass the course in the January call, it will be necessary, at least, to take the final exam (on the date indicated by the ETSASS Head of Studies) and to hand in all the assignments of which the practical part of the course is composed. The completion of the class exercises will not be compulsory but will be subject to assessment. The percentage value of the different parts is as follows:



- Individual final exam: 50 % Minimum grade: 5.00

- Course practice: 35 % Minimum grade: 5.00

- Class exercises: 15 %.



JULY CONVOCATION:



- Students failed in the January convocation:



- With passed exam and failed course practice:



The grade of the exam is maintained (they do not have to take it) and they will have to deliver the improved practice to obtain a grade ≥ 5.00. For averaging purposes, the exam will be worth 65% and the practice 35%. Class exercises do not count.



- With course practice passed and exam failed:

The grade of the course practice is maintained and they must take the exam in order to obtain a grade ≥ 5.00. For averaging purposes, the exam will be worth 65% and the practical will be worth 35%. Class exercises do not count.



- a) With failed exam and failed course practice or b) Not presented to the previous call:



They must take the final exam, submit the improved practice (those who have not taken it must complete it individually) and obtain in each of them a grade ≥ 5.00. For averaging purposes, the exam will be worth 65% and the practice 35%. Class exercises do not count.

Waiver:

Failure to take the exam or not presenting any of the practical exercises will result in the waiver of the corresponding evaluation, being recorded as Not Presented.
