Description and contextualization of the subject
The most outstanding instrumental methods for trace analysis in environmental samples will be provided. Essentially, the basics and the applications of mass spectrometry to the elemental and molecular analysis and liquid chromatography and gas chromatography will be covered, together with the suitable sample preparation procedures.Aims
To provide understanding and practice in the most outstanding instrumental methods for analysis of environmental contaminants.
Objectives
At the end of the Unit, you should:
1. understand and have advanced knowledge in analytical chemistry and specialized insight into analysis of environmental contaminants
2. apply knowledge in new areas through the development of applications and procedures
3. analyze academic issues within analytical chemistry and instrumental methods
