  • Measurement of the thermal transmittance (U) of opaque elements by the guarded hot box Standard: UNE EN ISO 8990
  • Measurement of the thermal transmittance (U) of windows by the guarded hot box standard: UNE EN ISO 12567
  • Thermal characterization of semitransparent and opaque elements under real climatic conditions by means of the PASLINK methodology (procedure developed by the European Network PASLINK EEIG)
  • Measurement of the thermal conductivity of materials with low thermal conductivity (insulating materials) by the heat flow meter method according to UNE-EN 12667
  • Measurement of the thermal conductivity of medium and high thermal conductivity (ceramics, mortar, concrete, plaster) by the heat flow meter method according to ASTM C 1114-06
  • Measurement of basic hygrothermal properties, moisture storage properties and water vapor permeability of building materials
  • Characterization of hygroscopic properties of building materials (factor of resistance to diffusion of water vapor, water vapor permeability, sorption isotherm, water retention curve, capillary absorption coefficient)
  • Analysis of the microporous structure of building materials by mercury porosimetry techniques and micro-computer tomography, developing the 3D model of the porous structure

  • Blower Door test to determine the airtightness of buildings according to EN 13829.
  • Measurement and classification of windows acording to UNE-EN 1026 and EN 12207.

  • Thermal characterization of phase change materials by means of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetrical analysis (TGA).
  • Climatic Chambers and thermostatic baths to study the thermal stability of the materials
  • Materials testing mechanical facilities (tensile testing machines, durometers, etc)
  • Test-bench to evaluate the performance of TES prototypes based on PCM, under in-use conditions. Design, production and testing of LHTES prototypes (latent heat thermal energy storage).
