AimsToggle Navigation

- Interpret technical documentation in the field of industrial communications based on the knowledge acquired and be able to identify the most appropriate solutions for the implementation of these systems.

- Analyze automatic control systems of existing industrial processes and represent their operation independently of their technological materialization. Identify in the processes: energy improvement points, if they have any type of environmental impact and possible social impact.

- Design and implement, through the use of programmable controllers, automatic control systems for industrial processes that satisfy certain specifications, working as a team and generating appropriate documentation.

- Design and implement a simple system for supervision, control and data acquisition (SCADA systems) of a process in a production environment, through individual and cooperative work.

- Classroom Practices: Practical development of control system design exercises for automated processes.

- Laboratory Practices: Implementation of completed designs.

Assessment systemsToggle Navigation

a) Ordinary Call Evaluation:

- Written exam 60% to be developed in one or several tests. This evaluation will be completed with a single final test that will coincide with the Center's Ordinary Call. The written exams will include the topics of the lecture classes (40%) and a design exercise (20%).

- Laboratory Practices (20%): Preparation, presentation and reports.

- Group Work - Design Exercise (20%)

It will be necessary to obtain at least a 5 in each part to achieve the average for the subject.

b) Final Evaluation (to students who request it):

- Written exam 80% to be developed in one or several tests. Topics of lecture classes (60%) and design test (20%)

- Practical laboratory test (practical laboratory topics) (20%)

It will be necessary to obtain at least a 5 in each part to achieve the average of the exam.

To request the final evaluation system, students must submit in writing to the teaching staff responsible for the subject the waiver of continuous evaluation, for which they will have a period of 9 weeks from the beginning of the semester.

Students renouncing a call:

- In the case of continuous evaluation, students may withdraw from the call within a period of one month before the end date of the teaching period for the subject. This resignation must be submitted in writing to the teaching staff responsible for the subject.

- When it comes to final evaluation, failure to take the test set on the official exam date will mean automatic resignation from the corresponding call.
