The PiE-UPV/EHU hosts 4 masters:
From 2006 up to now.
This Master’s Degree is aimed at students who wish to begin their professional work by joining work groups in Industries, Consultancy Companies, Public and Private R&D Institutes, Public Administrations, NGOs and Universities which conduct their professional activity in very diverse fields (research, development and offer of analytical services, audits, etc.) of the biological and/or chemical evaluation of environmental quality and the health of ecosystems.
This qualification has recognized Level 3 of the Spanish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (MECES) and corresponds to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 22/2015, of 23 January (BOE 02/07/2015).

Environmental Contamination and Toxicology – ECT+ EMJMD

The European Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has awarded the Erasmus Mundus proposal Environmental Contamination and Toxicology (ECT+). This new international programme, coordinated from PiE-UPV/EHU, involves a total of six partners: University of Trondheim (Norway), University of Liege (Belgium), University of Bordeaux (France), University of Pau (France), University of Porto (Portugal) and UPV/EHU.
The new program, now is in its preparatory year, expects to receive the first student cohort in September 2020 and continue for a total of four years.

In academis year 2018-2019 Marine Environment Plus was started which aim to It aims to forme multidisciplinary graduates of transverse research profile in a fully integrated world class EU MSc programme. To developethe student’s critical understanding of technical and scientific tools together with excellent management abilities and personal skills;achieving high academic standards, which is supported by recognised quality assurance (QA) procedures; promoting both staff exchange and student mobility under a balanced ECTS scheme.

The International Master in Marine Biological Resources (IMBRSea), is a joint Master programme organized by nine leading European universities in the field of marine sciences: Ghent University (BE), University of Pierre and Marie Curie (FR), University of the Algarve (PT), University of Oviedo (ES), Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (IE), University of the Basque Country (ES), Polytechnic University of Marche (IT), University of Bergen (NO) and Université de Bretagne Occidentale (FR), supported by fourteen Marine Research Institutes belonging to the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC). Based on the objectives of the EMBRC consortium, IMBRSea covers a wide range of subjects related to the sustainable use of marine biological resources. With an emphasis on marine biological and ecological processes, the programme links biology of marine organisms and environmental studies with subjects in marine policy and planning.
